To date, 41 Da Nang businesses have pledged to donate a total of 26 billion VND to the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) which will be held on 28 and 29 April.
Amongst the donors, the Sun Group has promised 3 billion VND, the NetViet Joint Stock Company 2.5 billion VND, the Da Nang-Mien Trung Investment Joint Stock Company 2 billion VND, and a venture between the Duc Manh Corporation and the 579 Construction and Investment Company 2 billion VND.
DIFC 2015 will take “Da Nang – the Symphony of Colours” as its theme and the competing teams are Fireworks for Africa (South Africa), Pyrotecnico (USA), Howard and Son Fireworks (Australia), Surex Firma Rodzinna (Poland), and the host team Da Nang-Viet Nam.
DIFC 2015 will be publicised on some international tv channels including StarWorld, National Geographic and BBC World in Asia. This will help to widely introduce the event and advertise the image of the land and people of Viet Nam, and Da Nang in particular, to international friends.
During the 2-day event, a series of support activities will be held to attract visitors to the city. They will include cuisine exchanges, light shows, a parade of boats decorated with flowers on the Han River, beach sports events, fashion shows and musical performances.
Following recent approval by the city’s People’s Committee, viewing stands will be constructed to accommodate 32,000 spectators in total. The 10,300 tickets in the B3, B4 and C1 stands are expected to be sold at 500,000 VND, 400,000 VND, and 300,000 VND respectively.
