“Destination of Beach Island Paradise and World Heritage” is the slogan that the Department of Culture,Sports & Tourism ofThuaThien Hue, Danang, Quang Nam promote to tourism enterprises, travel agencies of the Mekong River Delta (MRD) in Tourism information Session organized on 6th June in Can Tho.
Attending the program, Mr Hoang Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Director of Danang Tourism Center of Promotion introduced overview of Da Nang city – which has one of the six most attractive beaches in the world. Danang is the “red address” of island tourism, forest Son Trapeninsula – resident ofthe rare Pygathrixnemaeus in the Red Book.

Mr. Dinh Hai, director of the Department of Culture,Sports & Tourism of Quang Nam expressed, by cooperation, Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam have achieved the goal of building up the tourist map without boundaries. He expected that with direct airlineCan Tho – Danang of Vietjet Air (1 flights per day, from month July 2014),the central region will attract more tourists from the provinces in the Mekong Delta.
On this occasion, Mr. Le Minh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Can Tho also briefed on the Mekong Delta – the myth Mekong River with potential development of community tourism, ecotourism, river & garden with orchard system, the field of flowers.
However, Mr. Le Minh Son also expressed concern the reasons of promotion or poor & monotonous travel products leading to limitation of the number of tourists in Vietnam and Central Vietnam in particular to the Mekong Delta. Representing the tourism businesses, he expressed his desire of relationships and cooperation in the long-term of tourism development with Da Nang, Quang Nam, ThuaThien Hue.
Through this program, businesseshad the opportunity to share experiences, cooperate between 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta region and 3 provinces of the Central region and share experience inState Management on tourism, plan to exploit the potential of tourism products as strengths of each province ensuring the principles of purpose and cooperation agreed which contribute to develop the tourism and attract investment in the field local tourism.
