The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is running the ‘2015 Tourism Stimulus in Da Nang’ programme from 3 September until 31 March 2016. This is the third consecutive year that an attractive promotion has been implemented in the city.
This year’s programme takes ‘Vietnamese People Take Domestic Tours – Each Journey Makes Them Love Their Fatherland More’ as its theme, and aims to attract more domestic, foreign and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) visitors to match the city’s tourism development orientations.
Unlike in previous years, the programme is being divided into 2 stages. The 1st stage, themed ‘Autumn Sunlight in Da Nang’, is running from 3 September to 31 December, whilst the 2nd stage, themed ‘Travelling in Spring in Da Nang’, will last from 1 January to 31 March 2016.
According to the latest figure released by the Department, 96 local tourism service providers have registered so far to participate in this year’s programme.
Under the programme, MICE visitors can enjoy between 10% and 16% discounts on rooms and between 20% and 25% off conference halls at local hotels, whilst local travel agencies are offered 65% discounts on rooms which are booked for their customers.
Many local travel agencies are also offering between 7% and 25% off their tours, and are giving numerous attractive gifts to tour-bookers. In addition, discounts of between 10% and 15% are being offered on entrance tickets at popular local tourist attractions.
